first margaret tested the light...
then the photoshoot began. note the dramatic shadows: shout-out to clara's emergency flashlight for creating the dramatic light and almost blinding me...
here is what i quickly learned: i CANNOT be serious in pictures. it's really just funny to me. which makes me laugh...hence the smiling. apparently smiling is not dramatic. so the photoshoot continued...
and this is as artsy as i got, folks.
clara's turn!
silly at first, but she caught on quickly. she is an art master.
then things got REALLY dramatic. (hey emergency flashlight!--i am "the light crew" for this segment of the photoshoot. so official, right?)
once things got this ridiculous, our stomachs were aching from laughter, and we had sufficiently interrupted the studies of everyone in our apartment, we decided to call it a night. our lovely and skilled photographer mccallen passed off the pictures to us and the deliberation began: which picture would we draw. this was a very difficult decision. we even allowed a select few to share their votes via skype. very serious matters, friends. very serious.
i'm going to leave you in anxious anticipation awaiting the reveal of the winning photograph and the finished project (if it is worthy of revealing in public).
headed to ROME tomorrow. don't worry, i just watched the lizzie mcguire movie to prepare for the trip. hopefully i won't have to impersonate any italian pop-stars while i'm there...i don't think the people of rome really want to hear my singing voice
when in rome...

Remember that being in Rome is what dreams are made of. Right now your life seems duller, but once there all will be in Technicolor. You've got somewhere you belong, you've got somebody to love ... yep, that's what dreams are made of.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, spend time at the Trevi Fountain. That was my favorite and I could only stay a few minutes. And when in the Colosseum, do a little "Bo bis bit, the Spartans really hit, bimus bitis bunt, Spartani magni sunt!"
